License-About

The Department of Horticulture trains agricultural engineers in the fields of greenhouse and open cultivation, breeding and post-harvesting within the framework of a 4-year program. The first two years of the program consist of basic compulsory courses of agricultural science. The third and fourth years are mainly devoted to horticulture related subjects. The program includes theoretical and practical subjects such as field and laboratory studies. Apart from these, however, a few elective courses during the semesters allow students to focus on different crops and topics of interest.

Successful completion of all the courses available in the program (equivalent to 240 ECTS in total) and having a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 is the qualification requirement for graduation.

Graduates who successfully complete the program by fulfilling all the requirements of the program receive the degree of "Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering-Horticulture".

Our department has 83 graduates and continues its activities with 2 active students in the 2021-2022 academic year.
