Mission

The Department of Horticulture will play an important role in the transfer of the outputs obtained by conducting research projects aimed at solving the problems experienced in the cultivation of horticultural crops in the region, research studies and scientific activities for the adaptation of new species and varieties. Another mission of our department will be to train qualified agricultural engineers who are aware of the latest developments in the world in the fields of breeding, cultivation techniques and post-harvest physiology in the fields of Fruit, Vegetable and Viticulture, who can research, develop, access information and apply what they have learned.

Vision

The Department of Horticulture is to gain an institutional identity that can conduct research, provide education, produce solutions with the staff it trains, and contribute to the national economy, which is equivalent to the horticulture departments of universities at national and international level.
